2003 IJSBA World Finals - Health problems keep Marc from taking a piece in the action Last Sunday was supposed to see the culminating event of this year’s Jet Ski Freestyle season for Marc Sickerling. After winning the title of the European Champion 2003 he was well prepared and looking forward to this year’s final international event. But things went basically wrong. Marc had been suffering from a severe pain in the back for weeks already which he had ignored time and time again to participate in the competitions. Now he was forced to stop his training sequences several days before the race at Lake Havasu. The doctors at Lake Havsu City Hospital strongly recommended against Marc’s participation in the event because they feared the risk of dislocating a vertebral disk which was not unlikely to occur because of the permanent overexertion of his back. As a result, Marc finishes the season as an outstanding European Champion - all in all a terrific success. And you never know - the next championships are soon to come ! More infos: www.ijsba.com
